All around the world, day to day life seems to have come to a halt due to the coronavirus outbreak. As devastating as this crisis has been, it is important to not lose sight of the fact that Earth Day is around the corner. Even if we cannot go outside and physically plant trees or participate in a public cleanup, there are still ways that everyone can do environmental action from their own homes. Due to the coronavirus, we have all been able to take a closer look at our everyday habits and how they impact others. Social distancing, vigorous hand washing, and other recommendations have been almost universally adopted. In the same way, let us take individual action to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
This week will kick off 4 weeks of individual action from The Grey Water Project!
Each week, we will bring you a list of actions, based on the theme of the week, that you can do from your home! The four themes are: water, food, energy and reuse.
Without further ado, here are 10 things you can do to reduce water waste in your home. The list can be found as part of the water challenge: https://www.thegreywaterproject.org/copy-of-water-challenge.
Upon completing these actions, report back and let us know! We would love to hear from you. https://www.thegreywaterproject.org/report-your-water-savings
